I had the same problem until I properly cleaned the power switch. This involves removing the metal cover (soldering iron needed) and cleaning the contacts inside.
I recently purchased a AGS-101 Gameboy SP from ebay. It worked fine, except for one little detail in which case the battery light would flicker from green to red, unless pressure was applied in certain areas. The light would switch back to green for a few moments, then flicker again.
Edit: This happens to me when charging it too. Power off system, remove all peripherals, AC adapter and battery. Press the "Power On" button for 15 seconds to release Static Flea Power. Replace battery, adapter, power on system. Hopefully there's no more blinking blue light.
Every Nintendo handheld system following the release of the Game Boy Advance SP has included a built-in light and rechargeable battery. The Game Boy Advance 2D graphics hardware has scaling and rotation for traditional tiled backgrounds in its modes 1 and 2, and scaling and rotation for bitmaps in modes 3 through 5 (used less often on the GBA
- put the charger in, the orange light turns on for a split second, then dies off. Sometimes also the green light turns on for a split second together with the orange light Checked F1, F2 and EM8 with a multimeter, that seems to be ok. Also tried a working battery from an other GBA-SP. Really puzzled currently!
Thanks for this info! That happens because the power switch contacts not getting full contact (due to dirt/corrosion) causes a momentary voltage drop that the sp interprets as the battery voltage dropping. I wouldnāt worry about it. If you super care, replace the power switch and itāll stop. Thats normal.
arqV. I've recently done my first Gameboy mod (ips v2 screen and reshell for my childhood GBA) and have got an EZ-flash IV omega to go with it. All seems to have gone well but after a very short time (within the first minute of use with the EZ-flash) the power light flickers and then turns red. I know that both the ips v2 and EZ-flash are very power

I noticed that even with new batteries, sometimes the light is flickering especially after a reset from a game (back to the EZ-Flash menu) or during a loading of a game (also, this morning it

So yesterday I modded a GBP with an IPS screen from Funny Playing and noticed some flickering of the screen. I can't really tell where the flickering comes from. Sometimes it's there when I start a game but will stop after some time. And sometimes I start a game and there is no flickering. But either way, the flickering is always gone after
As of the SP version of this kit, you can buy a replacement LCD with the SP lens pre-laminated so you don't have to bother trying to fit a custom lens. This is going to be more expensive than just installing the SP version though. Funnyplaying GBA SP mod-- Yeah, I modded a limited edition GBA SP too. It won't be my last.
